«All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players».
Familiar phrase? It has become very actual for me, when I agreed to take part in the theater zaTO. I have already had the theater`s experience, but this idea of the theater is something new for me. So, what is our performance “Zaigrano delo”? Firstly, it is an interactive theater where the audience can become not only the participants of what is happening on the stage, but also can try to change the situation. Secondly, the performance reflects the situation occurring on the labour market in Slovenia. Self-employed person, the company’s director, student, worker, black marketeer are faces which show experience that have become familiar to the Slovenes. This is a story about how it is easy to open your own company without the possibility of developing, how it`s easy to be dismissed and how it`s difficult to get money for work without a contract, etc. This is the story of many of us, of our daily life …
I play a person who is working on the black labour market. In the play I have no words that reflects the real situation, because many people who are working without a contract have no opportunity to argue, do not have any opportunities, they remain in silent meekly. Who are these people? People are without the face wishing to get at least some work and money to survive. This is a tragedy, but the tragedy is not on the stage but in life.
